With over 40 years of governance-related experience, Dan is nationally recognized for his expertise in Directors and Officers responsibilities, liabilities, indemnification, insurance, and loss prevention. As Chair of Bailey Cavalieri’s Directors & Officers Liability Practice Group, Dan brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the table to help clients reach their legal goals.
Dan represents and advises directors, officers and insurance companies regarding a wide variety of D&O liability, insurance underwriting and claims-handling, loss prevention and governance issues. Among many other D&O-related matters, he has been involved in more than 1,000 D&O and other professional liability claims, including the vast majority of the largest and most complex D&O lawsuits prosecuted during the last several decades, and has drafted many of the D&O insurance policies in the market.
He is co-author of Liability of Corporate Officers and Directors, a leading treatise on the topic, has published dozens of articles, and speaks at numerous seminars each year on the subject.
